Curriculum for Kindergarten

According to the EYF program of the UK for KG, there are 2 levels, KG-1 and KG-2, for students of age 4 and 5, respectively. Students are involved in various activities and games that enhance their concepts for recognizing letters, numbers, shapes, and patterns. Students learn to write and read the basics after identifying.

To enhance their exploratory skills, they are introduced to technical studs and iPads. Various apps and videos with animation are sued to teach them. At the end of KG-2, students outcomes include;

At Key stage 4, the 10th and 11th years are included. For students in grades 9th and 10th, the following significant GCSE subjects are taught:
Key stages 5, 12, and 13 years are included. To prepare for higher education, A-level exams are taken. Highly experienced and qualified teachers teach 11 and 12th-grade students and help them prepare for entrance tests of various universities worldwide.

Academic Calendar at School

For better academic learning, the rotation approach for classes was adopted by CAS. There will be a weekly rotational timetable for the students from KG to grade 4. On-campus classes will be 2 days a week, and online classes will be 3 days a week.

Both classes will be mandatory for students of grades 5 to 8, daily on-campus and distance learning.

  • The timing for on-campus classes will be 7:30 am to 11:40 am.
  • For online distance classes, the timings are from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. That is 3 hours every Day.

Distance Learning at School

Every New Academic Year at CPS starts in the last week of August and ceases in July.

Covid-19 Regulations

The school regulates all the protocols and Covid-19 SOPs according to the directions of the UAE Ministry of Education. A special school team will ensure all the rules mentioned above are followed.

  • Downloading the Al Hosn app is mandatory for all students.
  • Before school starts, everyone needs to submit their Covid-19 report online. The submission of the information will be via Class Dojo.
  • Before students rejoin the school, the submission of a travel declaration form is mandatory.
  • Mask will be mandatory to always wear on campus.
  • Those with medical reasons not to wear masks will have to submit a report of exemption.
  • Students of KG are not obligated to wear masks.
  • It is suggested that students should wash their hands quite often.
  • Water dispensers will not be allowed, so students must bring their water and lunch.
  • Packed lunch will be available at the school canteen.
  • At all times, students should have 2 extra masks.
  • School bags should be sanitized and kept outside the classrooms in the morning class.
  • Sharing anything, including devices, is strictly prohibited, so all students must bring their own tech devices.
  • All learning equipment, including books and stationeries, will be kept at school, and homework will be completed online.
  • No group projects will be allowed.
  • The parent-teacher meetings will be discontinued on-campus and held on zoom.
  • The body temperature will be measured before entering the school premises with a thermal camera.
  • The school transport’s capacity will be reduced to 50%.
  • Before entering the school bus, the temperature will be checked.
  • There will be hand sanitizer dispensers across the campus.
  • The campus will be sanitized every Day.
  • Students will be seated according to their assigned places.
  • The floor will be marked at 1.5-meter.
  • There will be only 15 students in one classroom from grade 1 to grade 9.
  • In KG, there will only be 12 students in each class.
  • Places like doorknobs and tabletops will be sanitized often in a day.
  • The attendance will be through a facial recognition app software from the thermal temperature detector in the 1st week.
  • Playing areas will be closed temporarily.
  • For 4 to 9-grade students, prayer rooms will be open only if they bring their prayer mats from home.
  • The track and trace software system will track students' social distancing with their wristbands and tracking tags on their ID cards. The band and label will vibrate if the students come closer than 1.5 meters. These bands will be mandatory for all students to wear throughout the Day.

Admission and Fees

How to Apply?

Here are the step-by-step details of getting the admission process done at CPS.

1st Step: It is suggested that both the parents and student should take a school campus tour before getting admission.

2nd Step: Now, at the campus, you must fill out the registration form correctly and submit it. The school will then call the parents for the student's assessment.

  • There will be a group assessment for students seeking admission in KG-1 and KG-2.
  • For admissions in Grade 1, there will be an entrance test for major subjects, including Mathematics, Arabic, and English. Then students will be interviewed.
  • This assessment /entrance test will determine the admission of the student. If your kid gets admission, then you will be informed.

3rd Step: After getting admission, the student will be asked to visit the campus to finish the admission process by also submitting the following documents and a copy of the filled registration form.

  • An original copy of both parents’ Emirates ID.
  • Emirates ID card of the student and its copy.
  • Also the copy of the Birth Certificate of the student.
  • Four most recent passport-sized photos of the student.
  • For UAE nationals, a family book.
  • Student’s passport copy, with valid residency visa.
  • A vaccination card copy.
  • A complete student profile from the previous school.
  • If the student has been registered with a school before, a letter of studies would be continued.
  • An SIS no for nursery students.
  • A transfer certificate, a previous result card from the last school, and SIS no for students who were schooled within UAE. The Education Zone minister must attest to all these documents.

  • Attested a transfer certificate and a previous result card from the last school, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the UAE Consulate, where the school is located for students who were schooled outside the UAE.
